A native Arizonan, born in Winslow, Arizona, Jan went to Scottsdale Public Schools all 12 years and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Arizona State University, a Masters Degree in Secondary Education, Reading Diagnosis & Treatment.

One of founders for manpower training program Phoenix Opportunities Industrialization Center (still operating.)

Taught 40 years in public school and is a lifetime member of AEA-NEA.

Has spent eight years researching the money trail of charters & vouchers for efficiency & effectiveness in addressing the needs of all students.

Jan says “I am concerned also with corruption & fraud in the for-profit industry of charters.”

Jan has given this presentation all around the state of Arizona.
