Worship with The Palms

in-person and online

In-person worship services

sanctuary at Church of the Palms UCC Sun City

We hold worship services in our sanctuary every Sunday at 10 am.

In-person COVID protocols (updated October 2023):

It is important for us to make sure everyone is safe and makes the best possible decisions for their own health. Because of the high rate of COVID infection and transmission within our community, we are implementing some new guidelines for all public meetings – this includes Sunday worship, memorial services, and meetings of any groups.

  • If you test positive for COVID, stay home.
  • Masks are strongly urged for all gatherings at The Palms. We have an abundance of masks at the church and will gladly share.
  • If you have a non-COVID cough, even if it is allergies, wear a mask.
  • If you feel more comfortable staying at home, please do so with our blessings.

Thank you for keeping the safety of our community in mind. If you are feeling poorly, stay home, with our blessing. Working together got us through COVID before and it will again.

We’re located at 14808 N Boswell Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.

May 12, 2024: Happy Mother’s Day! Pastor Paul will be preaching from Acts 1:15-17 and 21-26. What do you do when you are chosen? Pastor Jim, Jennifer Hoppe, Judy Jondahl, and the Sanctuary Choir lead in worship.

May 5, 2024: The scripture for the sixth Sunday of Easter is from the Gospel of John, chapter 15, verses 9-17. Pastor Paul tells us that Jesus has called us to be His friend. What does it take to be friends of Jesus? Bonnie Green is the liturgist and Elaine Klauser is at the organ. Sandy Krueger provides some special music by singing and playing the guitar. Rev Ruth Emanuel sang a beautiful song accompanied by Jennifer Hoppe. However, we regret that problems with the microphone resulted in the voice of Rev Ruth not being picked up on the recording. This being the first Sunday of the month, communion is served to the entire congregation. Rev Mark Makowski assists Pastor Paul with the communion service.
