Annual Meeting, Potluck, and Service Auction

Members, visitors, and friends are all invited to the 2018 Potluck and Service Auction – sharing Time, Talent, and Treasure to support Church of the Palms vital ministries.

Organized and conducted by the Boards of Stewardship and Evangelism.

On January 27th, our church will conduct its Annual Meeting. Following the meeting we will provide an opportunity to fellowship with one another during a Potluck and Service Auction. What an informative and fun morning it will be!

At the Annual Meeting, we will look back at our accomplishments during 2017 and approve the 2018 budget and list of board and committee members to lead us through 2018.

During the Potluck and Service Auction, we will share our donations of time, talents, and treasures with each other, enjoy good food, and participate in an auction with proceeds going to the Boards of Mission & Outreach, Evangelism,  and Lifelong Learning.

How does the Service Auction work? Think about something you do well and could contribute for someone else’s enjoyment. It could be the gift of time to take someone shopping, pet sitting, homemade tamales, transportation to the doctor’s appointment, homemade bread, dining experience, bird walk, homemade quilt, timeshare weekend, painting, luncheon for four, homemade jewelry, or stained glass. You get the idea.

For the potluck lunch, the Boards of Evangelism and Stewards will provide the main dish (brats & buns) with condiments. All you need to do is bring a side dish or dessert. Then relax, enjoy good friends, good food, and be prepared to bid on all the wonderful donations of time, talent, and treasure available in the auction.
