“Sing in Unity” – an ecumenical music event

You are invited to “SING IN UNITY” – an ecumenical hymn sing and worship service hosted by The Church of the Palms.

You will hear worshipful vocal and instrumental music by some great musicians of the participating churches. You will also have an opportunity to join in song with the crowd that gathers together in praise to God!

Light refreshments will be provided after the service.

No tickets needed. Please come and sing (or just listen) in unity!

All are welcome. Church of the Palms is an Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation.

Have you ever seen a four-hand piano? The afternoon will begin with a prelude by Elaine Bunney and Pastor Jim as they play some lively hymns arranged for four-hand piano.

Come hear some golden oldies like “Preachin’, Prayin’ Singin'” sung by Roy Spaulding (Church of the Palms). You will also hear some contemporary music like “More that Wonderful”, sung by Connie and John Groff (Lakeview United Methodist). There will be some toe tappin’ and some hand raisin’.

The clock is ticking down to Sunday, July 29th as the final preparations are made for SING IN UNITY. Find your way to the Church of the Palms by 2:00 p.m. You will hear some familiar hymns and songs like “We’ll Understand it Better By and By” by this small group from The Palms! Jane, Paul, Ruthie, Jim, Wendy, Jeff and Elaine will put a smile on your face with this great tune!

Another great feature of our Ecumenical SING IN UNITY event will be the choir from St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church singing “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”. St. Christopher’s will also offer “They Shall Soar Like Eagles”, presented by Charlyn & Killy Balabanis and Don Palm.

Dr. Michael G. Hegeman, Ph.D.
Princeton Theological Seminary Director, Fran Park Center for Faith Life at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, Lecturer in Religion, Spirituality & Humanities.

In addition to our featured speakers we will have scripture and sacred readings studies and vespers provided by Mary Whitlock and Debby Stinton.

Free time is built in on Wednesday and Thursday.
