At the Annual Meeting last week, we reviewed all that made last year come alive as a church. There was much to celebrate: 52 new members, a balanced budget, purchase of a new bus (and it’s paid for!), installment of Homeless Jesus, and the expansion of our social justice ministries. My question to the church is this: now what? We have broken free of the COVID cocoon. We have come alive in so many areas. Now what?
To embrace the future and bee the church, we need to Be Intentional. In our words, in our deeds, with our time, talent, and treasure – Be Intentional. If you don’t know how to do that in any given situation, reach into your fruit basket and pull out one of the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
