Our Annual Meeting is this Saturday, January 27 at 9 am in the sanctuary. Let this serve as your official invitation: You are invited! No need to RSVP. Just show up!
The Palms has had a colorful history of Annual Meetings. Each one of the meetings takes on its own personality. There is one constant: They are rarely boring, humdrum, or the same-old stuff. Yes, we hear of budgets and ministry activities; I give my State-of-the-Church Address which interprets the past and looks onward toward the future; and people are nominated and voted upon to hold certain offices.
But what always impresses me are the stories of ministry taking place. Looking at the cumulative ministry, I am in awe of how God is working in and through us. It’s not me or Pastor Jim or you, it’s all of us coming alive together, making choices, blessed by the Holy Spirit.
