The wonderful news shared last Sunday in worship brought a glorious reaction, and we’re thrilled to officially announce it in writing! The Pastoral Search Team, with the blessings of the Executive Board and the Personnel Board are proposing that Rev. Mark Makowski join our team as a ¾ time Associate Pastor.
To make this official, we’ll hold a congregational meeting and vote on August 10th, right after worship. If approved, Rev. Mark will start with us on September 1st.
If this comes about it will be a first: We’ll hire a Pastor who already loves us, and us him!
Mark comes to us with a rich background, having dedicated much of the past decade to caring for his elderly parents. Before that, he held diverse positions, including work with the Roman Catholic Church. We deeply believe in God’s gift of second chances, and we see that spirit alive in Mark. We are excited about his potential contributions to our church family.
