One word for those who prayed for rain: “Moderation”

♫♪ “The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down
In rushing, rising riv’lets
‘Til the river crept out of its bed
And crept right into Piglet’s” (church – The Palms!) ♪♫

Wow! What a Sunday July 25th turned out to be! Instead of flames as of doves descending upon the parishioners, it was drops, fat and wet, plopping upon folks’ heads. Others of us will remember how we wondered about how to get home – especially with the corner of Boswell Blvd and 103rd flooded out and Thunderbird and 103rd worse.

Or maybe the angels processing our prayers for the reign of God were bad spellers…cuz the rain came down, down, down! Or was it a new sprinkler system Pastor Jim installed to keep people awake in church!?!? For those praying for rain, please, please, please stop! Or, at least, pray for it in moderation!

I hope this note finds you high and dry and safe and able to laugh. I wonder what this Sunday will be like! Be brave! Dare to experience The Palms!

Shalom, Paul
