No matter how wonderful the journey…

It’s a beautiful thing to travel, to pack up our bags and venture out into the world and reconnect with loved ones. For many of us, a pilgrimage to visit family is a special time. There’s a wonderful joy in reconnecting with those we love, sharing stories, and making new memories. We might sleep in different beds and eat different meals, but the feeling of being with our people is like a warm, comforting blanket.

We had a fantastic time reconnecting with loved ones in Missouri and in Ohio. A bonus was the fall colors which lightened our journeys with their gold, orange, brown, and red. We were able to recharge and rest.

But no matter how wonderful the journey, there’s a unique and profound feeling that comes with returning home. It’s the moment we unlock our own door, the familiar scent of our space, the sight of our own belongings, and the blessing of sleeping in our own bed.

Coming back to The Palms is also like coming home for me. This place, our religious home, is more than just a business; it’s a sanctuary. It’s where we can truly be ourselves. This is a divine gift—a space of our own, a place that holds our peace and our prayers. So, let’s cherish our travels and the family we visit, but let’s also give thanks for the divine blessing of having a home to come back to. I look forward to being with you this Sunday.

Shalom, Paul
