As summer begins to loosen its grip on the Sonoran Desert and we welcome the return of our winter visitors, the rhythm of our community begins to change. It is a season of transition—a time to pause, notice, and listen.
Our 2026 theme, “A Time for Every Matter,” reminds us that every season carries its own invitation. So, as we enter this new season, perhaps the questions before us are: Where is God calling us to go? What is God calling us to do?
As a social justice church committed to Sharing God’s Unconditional Love, Justice, and Extravagant Welcome, we know that God’s call is rarely about standing still. It may lead us toward a neighbor who needs to be heard, a community that needs an advocate, or an injustice that calls us to speak up. It may challenge us to welcome someone we have not yet met—or to discover that we are the ones in need of welcome.
May this season awaken us to possibility. May we listen deeply for God’s call, walk courageously toward justice, and discover together what this time is asking of us.
Shalom, Paul
