No sermon this Sunday?!

This Sunday, we invite you to experience the story of Holy Week through a unique lens of beauty, melody, and deep reflection. In a departure from our usual rhythm, there will be no sermon (no applause is necessary!). Instead, our choir will lead us through a seamless tapestry of evocative music and contemporary poetry.

In a world that often feels heavy, it is easy for anxiety to take root. Yet, as we gather to wave our palms, we are anchored by a timeless command: do not be afraid. While the path of Holy Week leads through shadows and uncertainty, we move forward together, knowing that profound, transformative good news is already on the horizon.

The sanctuary will be filled with harmonies and verse that trace the journey from the triumphant entry into Jerusalem to the quiet, somber anticipation of what is to come. Poetry that will touch your heart and move your spirit will be shared through the service. This service is a beautiful expression of our commitment to Divine love, justice, and radical welcome.

Whether you are a long-time member or a first-time visitor, there is a place for you here. We encourage you to invite a friend or neighbor to share in this communal experience. Come, and support your choir friends. Come, and support the music ministry of Jennifer Hoppe. Come, find a seat, and let the music remind you that even in the quietest moments, God is never far away. Just come!

Shalom, Paul
