“Thank you” seems to be inadequate

“Thank you” seems to be inadequate to express the emotions that I felt last week at my mom’s memorial service. I was deeply moved by the sharing of love and grace shown to my family and to me in the weeks leading up to the service and the day of it. Pastor Jim’s words were so profound and touched my heart. His solo was magnificent. The fact that he took the time to walk through the service with my mom while she was still alive was wonderful pastoral ministry. It was a gift which meant that I didn’t have to worry about the details, I could be a mourner.

The support from The Palms was amazing. It started with our Bus team picking up Wooddale Village residents. The friendly greeters were present to welcome any and all who came. The worship team that set up and ran the technology served faithfully. A special “thank you” to all the folks who helped serve the food and who cleaned up afterwards.

My mom would have loved, loved, loved it. Namaste.

Shalom, Paul
