I didn’t plan on getting sick and missing time at work. I am grateful for Pastor Jim, caring congregational leaders, and for resources that allowed me time away from work to get well. I’m glad that I at least got to video my way into the worship service.
Self-care is not something at which I can say I am consistently good. But self-care is a necessary component of a healthy person. I’m glad you gave me space to take care of myself. Like a three-legged stool, we must care for our body, mind, and spirit. If one of those are hurting or lacking, so are the other two!
I am also appreciative of vaccines and the medical people who developed and administered them. I never once worried about my symptoms getting serious enough for hospitalization. Vaccines certainly lessened the time in a sickbed.
This week I expect that I will be live in worship – back to my ornery old self! I hope to see you there. But, if you need to take a holiday from live worship to restore your body, mind, or spirit, please know that is okay. You can catch the video later in the week. Namaste.
Shalom, Paul
