It’s that time of the year when things start to get busy at The Palms. Our winter friends are returning, meetings and classes are happening with greater frequency, and our social justice ministry, which never takes a day off, is expanding! We are busy being the church, the palms of Jesus. Thanks be to God!
To be the church in a modern, post-Covid world, we must be constantly evolving. Attendance in worship used to be the industry standard regarding involvement at a church. Now, denomination guidelines use the word, “engagement.” How are people engaged (that is, doing things) beyond worship at the church?
How are you involved with the variety of ministries going on at The Palms? What are you doing? If you can no longer march, what can you do? Whether it is praying for our volunteers and staff, rolling up our sleeves and joining in on a social justice ministry project, or attending a meeting, everyone has a part to play.
Whatever the role you play, we are glad that you are part of The Church of the Palms, the palms of Jesus.
